My stay over the weekend was amazing. Andrea and the other employees were very helpful in every way to all my needs.My room was spacious and quiet. The breakfast staff was amazing. I can't wait to visit them again for my next trip to Delaware.
My family stayed here from 7/3 - 7-8, and had a great time in the area! The rooms were very clean, beds were actually very comfortable, and I particularly like that they seem to have a partnership with Dove, so I saved $$ not needing to unpack or buy shower products, since they have quality Dove products in the rooms. Staff were all extremely nice, welcoming, and accommodating (we ended up extending our stay, and they handled the logistics). My only complaints about the rooms are the lack of exhaust fans in the bathroom and the inconsistency of the water temperatures. Most days I wasn’t able to get any warm water at all in the sink, yet the shower was uncomfortably hot, even on the lowest possible temperature setting. I love a hot shower, but when there is no exhaust fan, it’s not fun, and will delay your morning as it took over 20 minutes for the mirror to de-fog and for the bathroom to cool down. These minor inconveniences would not prohibit me from staying there again. The walk-in shower itself is nice, though, and the extra vanity lighting is great for making sure your sunscreen is thoroughly absorbed. Location is good for anywhere in Middletown, we were never far at all from anywhere we went. There is a casual pizza/Italian restaurant directly in front of the hotel that you can walk to, for convenient dining.
We stay here every time we visit our family in Townsend. Convenient location, only 6 miles from my son's house. James is exceptional, very pleasant and greeted us with a smile and humor. All the staff overall are helpful, friendly, and made our stay welcoming. Andrea was very helpful when I realized I left my makeup bag in our room. I called the hotel the next day and she was able to find it. My son picked it up for me and mailed it. thank you for a great stay every time!! Keep it up and we'll keep staying!
Lovely clean hotel, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, especially the beds. I would definitely recommend staying here whilst in Middletown Delaware. The bonus of having coffee available in the lobby makes this place a favourite.
I can't say how much I appreciate the manager and staff of the hotel. Kathy (general manager), Andrea, Lexi, Debbie and Jackie are just a few of the people who made the biggest difference. We had our family stay there for a funeral and the compassion and care they provided were phenomenal. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement. The hotel itself is amazing - the room was very nice and clean, the lobby was comfortable, and the conference room was nice. But, the staff are what made the difference. Housekeeping was wonderful and the front desk staff were always checking on us and making sure we were OK. They told me as we were leaving that we "were like family to them". I usually hear people say that, but it's kind of an empty phrase. But when they said it, I could honestly feel they meant it. I will only stay at this hotel in the future because of the service here.
We had our daughter's pre wedding festivities (mehndi function) at the Holiday Inn Express in Middletown, DE and we couldn't be more thrilled with the venue and the service provided. We rented both the Board Room and the Conference Room to accommodate the dining and various events planned for the evening (65 guests). Kathy Hoffman, the manager and Andrea Friend, the sales coordinator were phenomenal. They were very easy to deal with, always accessible to answer questions and were quite happy to work with us on last minute changes and special requests. Even though we had the event rooms booked for the evening function, they gave us access to both rooms pretty much from the morning for decorations. The event was a success with our guests complimenting on the venue and the arrangements. Our guests also stayed in the hotel for a few days and they couldn't stop talking about how nice the rooms were and the complimentary breakfast. If you need a place to stay for your out of town guests or have a small event (~75 people), I strongly recommend the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Middletown, DE. The location is very convenient with plenty of parking. You won't be disappointed!
Our family gathered together in Middletown for a memorial service for a beloved family member. We came from all around and they greeted us all with open arms and they went above and beyond our expectations to help us feel welcome and comfortable. They were a blessing to the family. Would highly recommend.
